Technopolis was founded in 2023 out of a desire to fill a void in the coverage of a number of advanced topics such as #Arduino, #ESP32, #Ardupilot, #LoRa, #IoT and others, as there’s definitely a desperate need for deeper knowledge in these fields, beyond the usual ‘beginners’ guides available online.
Yes, we all started with “Hello World” tutorials. However, sometimes the soul is carving for more. As such, I feel we’re in need of a virtual Technopolis wherein ideas and information can be shared and developed freely among its citizens.
Thank God, there already exists an awesome community out there that shares the same interests as me. So here’s a list along with a big #Shoutout to them. Keep up the good work!
I am a husband, father of five and a tech enthusiast Boomer. Since my childhood I am obsessed with LEGO’s, computers, electronics and specially robotics. I wouldn’t consider myself as a professional programmer but I try my best to solve my issues with the skills I achieved over the past years.
I didn’t study anything in IT. All the humble knowledge I got was through teaching it myself by reading, watching and trying out. I love open source, so do I love GNU/Linux. However the biggest game changer in my hobby career was #Arduino. It just combines everything I love together: Electronics, building and programming!
If im not busy with my family, I use my free time to watch Sci-Fi, Mystery and Horror movies or thinker around with new projects.
As English is not my native language and due to my introverted nature, I have spent a decade online in a read-only mode. Now it’s time to make a change and get more involved and contribute. To be a part of the collective mind and hopefully try to benefit others and give back to the community that helped me so much over the years.
I’ve had a bunch of esoteric issues while was working in different projects on varied fields. Days and nights debugging and crawling through different forums, trying to troubleshoot my problems and hope that someone already had the same issue for which they found the solution, just to find 10 years old YouTube videos or forgotton threads in obsecure forums.
It’s time to share with the world outside my adventures and journeys into madness and the odd and unique problems I’ve encountered, and even stranger solutions I’ve come up with over the years.
Publish within 2023 my previous projects and upload them here on my #Blog and on GitHub to share it with the rest of the community. Last but not least, documenting existing projects and covering advanced topics, ideas and uploading them to YouTube in a weekly or at least monthly schedule.
The webdesign and Technopolis theme is just temporary for now. Technopolis is staticly generated by Jekyll
and lacks a good commenting system. I will try out few open source and self-hosted commenting systems.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I look forward to share my thoughts and experiences with you!
